So last night I stepped out on to the social scene for what has been a very long time! (Hence the post title) Admittedly I can be quite a bore, preferring to stay home alone than to be out as I get bored very easily of commercial music, I’m not a fan of crowds and I have better parties at home 🙂
Of course, when it comes to work events it’s different, but I have to admit that I have been very naughty recently and have been avoiding events and parties simply because being home with a book always seems more appealing.
But when my friend invited me to his birthday I couldn’t say no; turning only 21 and already having some major achievements under his belt, it was only right that I went to celebrate such a young talent.
Jamal Edwards; founder of SBTV amongst many other things. You already know about him and if you don’t….. shame on you!
So I headed down to a personal fave venue of mine; Shoreditch House where Jamal had hired the 4th floor for his private birthday celebration. I saw so many faces I hadn’t seen in a while, that was nice. And I got to meet a few twitter friends and that was nice as well 🙂
Sorry, I am terrible with taking pictures sometimes because it seems so time consuming! There were a few cameras going round so if I come across those pics I will share with you. I have a few on my phone though 😉
The birthday boys cake…. how fitting!
When we weren’t on the dance floor, we were sitting down on the sofas chatting, playing games of bowling, or eating cake! Or just clowning around…
With the Wretch32
Sharea and I decided to leave the madness that was the party downstairs, to go upstairs to the rooftop and chillax by the pool, for a moment of peace and serenity 🙂
It was also great seeing, spotting and catching up with: DJ Sarah Jane, G Fresh, Jason Maza, Arjun Rose, Marvyn Harrison, Tazer, Wretch 32, Pariz, Jak Frsh, Daren Dixon, Cleo Sol, Shola Ama, Cherri V, Vis, Dynamo Magician, Reggie Yates, Sincere and SO many more that I will remember as soon as I wake up properly 🙂 Also lots of love to the supporters that found me and said hello! Some of you even acted out your fave parts of Anuvahood to me; it was sooooo funny! Love for that.
All in all I had a good time. Maybe I will start venturing out again…. hmmm. We’ll see.
P.S I wore a cropped top from an unknown place as I randomly found it in my wardrobe! A pair of leopard print skinnies from ARMANI, and KURT GEIGER heels. I threw on a leather jacket to turn it slightly rock chick, and added accessories from Freedom, as well as a pretty pink and green bracelet with diamonds I got in NYC. Effortless!
