BEFFTA Press party

September 28, 2012 Leave a comment

The last few weeks have been a blur! It is an extremely busy time for me, what with filming, mentoring, a new staff selection process, a new office for Snobbish TV and the doing up of the new music studio! I am honestly not sure how I even made it to some of the recent events that I did; Wednesday night’s BEFFTA’s press party saw me sticking to my promise despite my sleep deprivation and attend nude; no make up, just red lips. The lipgloss that saved my life was the “Red Ruu” by Lipavenu Cosmetics; I find it applies easily with no mess, and although not a lip stain, the colour is long lasting; I only needed to reapply once throughout the night.

I wore a Juicy Couture lbd and teamed it with a pair of black Chanel pumps

With Lorna Sutara Gayle (Lorna Gee), star and founder of Sutara Academy of Performing Arts who will pick up a special BEFFTA this year, 27th October, and Tunia, who is a wonderful actress.

I could speak on the wonderful atmosphere, tasty canapés, great reception and inspirational people for many paragraphs however, time does not permit! More photos and coverage can be found on the new Snobbish TV website soon. I met some amazing people though and feel very blessed; you know who you are. Thank you for being an inspiration 🙂

Fashion Frenzy Promo vid

December 3, 2011 1 comment

I thought I’d quickly post the promo vid for the Fashion Frenzy, Children in Need fundraiser, which I was recently involved in. I had a great night; my highlights being the Obscure Couture show, Glenda the comedienne, eating cupcakes made by two adorable twins, bumping heads with Masato and the lovely owners of Scarecrow Boutique, and catching up with Anna Gregory again, who had the same enthusiasm and positive vibe/energy about her that I remembered her to have when last seeing her at LFW.

Well done also to N’Damus, Dom of Air, Eve Yasmine, The Cupcake Twins, and many more which I am sure I will remember immediately after posting this 🙂

Ande and her team did a fantastic job, and so did everyone else involved, including those who came down and contributed. So thank you if that was you! xx

It’s a Fashion Frenzy!!!

So I must be the luckiest girl alive because I’ve been asked to get involved with Fashion Frenzy; a fashion fundraiser in aid of Children In Need, organized by Dilema!

In 2009, Dilema were featured live on the BBC, handing over their cheque to Pudsey bear. They have now been asked to host another fashion event to help raise money for the renowned charity event.   And guess who’s doing the live interviews? 🙂 🙂 I’m assuming you guessed right but just in case you struggled…. me me me! I will be behind the scenes, backstage, conducting all of the interviews and also covering the event for Little Miss Fashion so I’ll be a busy bee! Exciting times.  The event includes fashion shows showcasing LFW designers, auctions,  and a diamond hunt! If you don’t wish to attend simply to support such a great charity, surely fashion, diamonds and cupcakes could tempt you? Oh I didn’t mention cupcakes? Well I have now. Yummm…. Sorry let me focus! (It’s extremely hard to write when hungry) As I was saying….

I am extremely excited to be a part of such a huge event and I am asking you all for the support this event needs in order to be the success it can be. We are expecting a lot of press & media attention along with celeb & music artists, so anyone involved would be gaining great coverage as well as helping us make this now annual event bigger & better.

If you would like to get involved in any way, make a contribution, exhibit your work or simply purchase tickets to be able to attend this event, then click here for further info or use the contact details at the bottom of this post. If you are a manager/PR to a celebrity who you wish to be involved then please also use the same contact.

Lets help make a difference! I look forward to seeing you there xx

Fashion Frenzy is being held at the Crowne Plaza, Docklands, 14th November. Contact: 07960 246 222 /07432 175 424 or click here

Rock The Catwalk with Core Spirit

After attending Rock The Catwalk’s private press launch on behalf of Little Miss Fashion (full write up can be found on the LMF site) I was asked to present their official public launch which took place Wednesday 26th October, with Dirty Media London.

For those who do not know about Rock The Catwalk yet, check out the LMF site. But to brief you quickly; Rock The Catwalk is a fashion event that offers exposure and a free catwalk to designers, make up artists and stylists. All you have to do is simply book your slot online and start preparing for and organizing your show! The catwalk is situated in Core Spirit’s flagship store on the fashionable New Bond St. Shoppers, fashionistas and passers by are able to watch shows as they browse, and see what great talent is out there.  And the opportunities do not stop there; the general public can vote online for their favourite collections, and the most popular will be branded and produced through the Core spirit label. So yep,  it’s quite a big deal and could make the dreams of an ambitious fashion designer come true.

So of course it was a real privilege to be involved with what I believe to be a fantastic fashion event and concept and a huge platform for fashion creatives. I got to interview the designers, the models and of course get feedback from the public. Core Spirit even offer free make overs to the general public, so I hit New Bond St and brought in a load of girls to beautify themselves 🙂 And of course I myself was asked to strut down the catwalk; something I wasn’t expecting but did all the same so as not to be a party pooper hehehe.

I’m really excited about the future of Rock The Catwalk and look forward to seeing some of you at the next one.  Shout out Core Spirit and Dirty Media London  xx

With two fashion graduates after their shows, wearing a Core Spirit jacket I adore!

Great news! I am officially a part of the Little Miss Fashion team! Everyone knows how much I love to write and my passion for fashion is no secret, so being a fashion reporter makes perfect sense. I get to attend great events, meet fantastic people and then share them with you all 🙂 I also get to work with wonderful and inspirational people, like Zoe Yates; founder of Little Miss Fashion. LMF was labelled no.6 fashion site by the Daily Telegraph in the “Top 50 Fashion insiders”.  Recent write ups to look out for include Fashion Mavericks, the Masato launch at Scarecrow Boutique and Rock the Catwalk. If you ♥ Fashion, then check out LMF and follow me on my exciting fashion journey xx

Marie Macsharry to debut at LFW

September 13, 2011 Leave a comment

Marie Macsharry casts models for the SS12 collection, named “Kaizen” which will debut at LFW on Saturday 17th September at The Westbury Hotel, Bond St.

The Kaizen range boasts a 20 piece collection, to include dresses and separates. The label aims to show corsetry in a new more wearable light by showing how it can be mixed with MM’S tailored separates in a chic, fashion forward style.

Feminine no longer has to mean demure and vulnerable and the tailored power suit no longer has to be boring and masculine.

The new collection is in keeping with the brand values of femininity and love for the female form but with a slightly more edgy glamour and fashion forward attitude.

Inspiration is drawn from many sources including architecture, nature and origami as well as historic dress. Marie MacSharry also has an interest in surface texture and fabric manipulation so occasionally this will be a focus on the garments.

I have been invited to Marie Macsharry’s debut show at London Fashion Week and look forward to seeing the full collection.
