Portia Freno and Matteo Castagnoli for Deenola

I can now officially announce that I am the female face of French rising designer label Deenola. The forthcoming video advertising campaign will see me alongside Deenola’s male muse; hot Italian model Matteo Castagnoli.

Certain websites and papers have been speculating on images of myself and Matteo that are circulating across the web, so it is good to finally confirm and announce to you all the great news.

Deenola is classy, sexy, sophisticated, free. It is all about emotions. When I had my first fitting and slipped on a Deenola dress for the first time, I knew I was a Deenola model. The clothes fit me perfectly, like they were made for me, and every piece caused me to gasp. I cannot wait for you to see the campaign and to really get to know about Deenola.

Valentino for Gap

I can excitedly announce that Valentino will be joining forces with Gap this winter!! I do love Gap for their knitwear and basics, but they do need a little touch of luxury, don’t you think?

Creative directors Maria Grazia Chiui and Pier Paolo Piccioli will work alongside Gap to create an affordable womenswear collection.

After news of Lanvin’s collaboration with H&M, don’t you feel we are being just a little spoiled? But who’s complaining!

However, you will have to fly to Milan if you want first grabs at the hot new collection, as the launch of Valentino’s high st range will coincide with Gap’s new Milan flagship store in November.

Not to worry; if you can practice patience it won’t be long before the collection is also available at Dover st Market, London, Gap’s flagship London store and also for my Parisian readers, Colette in Paris.

Chiuri and Piccioli said,  “We are very pleased that Gap thought of us as a partner for this intimate project, as it brings together the iconic world of Valentino and Gap’s fashion essentials… In this way, Valentino and Gap synthesize the current trend of combining luxury with basics.”

And thanks to Vogue, I can reveal that Stephen Sunnucks, president of Gap in Europe said, “We’re thrilled to be welcomed by the house of Valentino, with its unique position in Italy’s fashion heritage and to work with Maris Grazia and Pier Paolo, and their modern, fresh take on women’s style”.

Gap are not known for their designer collaborations; besides a capsule collection with Pierre Hardy in 2009 and a kids range with Stella McCartney, so I think it is safe to say that this is their biggest collaborative project to date.
