Store Love: Beyond The Valley

November 26, 2010 1 comment

My debut post for Store Love, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. When I stepped into Beyond The Valley my heart skipped a beat; a mixture of known and up and coming designers meant rail after rail of pure fashion and design innovation. There was such a diverse range of clothing, that I was in there for at least an hour. The creative Directors are Kate Bonhôte and Kristjana S Williams who are graduates of Central Saint Martins. Beyond The Valley like to collaborate with exciting new designers, as well as brands that we know and love. Just off Carnaby St on Newburgh St, I could have kicked myself for not discovering it sooner. Where have I been?

Here are some of my favourites including pieces I picked up for myself:

1. Wedged brogue by Brazilian brand Melissa. £85 Soooo comfy!

2. High waisted quilted leather skirt, Henry Holland for Roxy Heart £140. This skirt is to die for!

3. Sleeveless dress, Beyond The Valley. £125.

4. Digital print top, Beyond The Valley. £200

5. Pumpkin skirt, Beyond The Valley. £125

6. Leopard printed jumper, Beyond The Valley. £65

7. Mesh panel leggings, Fanny and Jessy. £120

8. Suede knee high boots, Finsk. £670

Check out the great website by clicking here, and if you do take a visit, be sure to pick up a pair of pony skin wedge shoes by Finsk for me 😉

Advertisement Campaign; Giuseppe Zanotti Fall Winter 2010-11

August 28, 2010 2 comments

Welcome to my first advertisement campaign post! With shoes being a girls best friend (when diamonds aren’t around) it only made sense for me to blog the beautiful creations by Giuseppe Zanotti. This fall Winter collection sees the originality and creativity we are used to. Satin, suede and leather are combined; shiny pumps with stiletto heels, sandals with satin bows, ankle boots…. Zanotti is a shoe master.

The model (Anja Rubikin) is sexy, dynamic and confident, and I’m not surprised; look at what she is wearing on her feet. But as always, Giuseppe exalts femininity in his latest collection, posing the question; are shoes used to express our personality? I think so.

And with shoes like these; they aren’t simply accessories, but a way of life
