Victoria Beckham; AW/10 SS/11 review

September 14, 2010 1 comment

Victoria Beckham; style icon, fashionista, hot innovative designer…right? It was brought to my attention by my stylist, Nasima to peep her AW/10 and SS/11 collection. She complained that the pieces were rather plain, and, after taking a look for myself, unfortunately I had to agree.

What do you think? Are they selling simply because of her name? Or is she setting trends?

Here are some of my favourites, but if I’m honest, very few of them scream “WOW” to me… However, what I have picked is pretty hot…

My ultimate faves are 99; The Optical print flare dress, 89; The V-neck bell dress, 95; The panelled waist, floor length dress, 92; The Sculptured Obi dress and 60; the blood red folded neck, rib jersey dress.

What are yours?

I must admit: it’s been a while since I left the house on a night out; whether it be a casual party or high profile event, in a red dress. But with red being one of the hottest hues this season; do you dare to wear?

Red is associated with raw and passionate emotion, so this bold colour is only to be worn by those wanting to make a statement.

Don’t be shy to brighten up your outfit with only a splash of the colour. Don’t forget, as I mentioned in a previous post; this fall is all about combination and contrast. Frenzel causes a frenzy with his wild chunky knitwear, below.

My must haves are below; which are yours?

Ok, ok, I know it’s a cape and not a dress, but capes are red hot right now, and this one by Issa is scorching

This cape from Issa is to die for

Etro contrasts with grey; I love!
